When your engine starts getting hot, the thermo coolant fan will gear up for action. Mounted on your engine, it senses when the temperature has reached a level where its services are necessary. Once it reaches that point, the switch will turn it on. After the car is cool enough again, the switch then allows it to turn off so it won’t drain your battery.
