Exactly that - they absorb shock. These are often gas or liquid pressure systems that are housed in cylinders mounted on your suspension. When your car jerks, bumps or vibrates, these pistons help reduce the shock felt and makes you feel like you are having a smoother ride. The cylinders are the same ones that help you open and close your trunk, so make sure you they are intact. Otherwise, your ride won’t be very fun.
The shock absorbers may seem like a repair you can forgo (“I’ll just take the pain”). However, even if you can handle the ride, your car won’t. You will face major damage to several parts which will end up costing far more than just the shock absorbers. If you face the above symptoms, have one of our mechanics come by and replace these absorbers right at your home!
One of the best car experiences I've ever had. 10/10. Booked and quoted on the phone. George was a really nice guy. Knowledgable and practical. Only did the work that was needed with a head's up of when to expect future service. All for a competitive price while I continued with my normal day in my own home. Why didn't anyone think of this before?! I will definitely use them again and recommend to my friends.
