Your fuel pressure is regulated by… you guessed it, the fuel pressure regulator. This regulator maintains optimal pressure in your engine and injectors, sending excess back towards the gas tank. A faulty regulator is awful because it can lead to overflows, causing leaks or even a fire in the worst case scenario.
If optimal gas pressure isn’t there, your car will definitely perform poorly and get have worse fuel economy. If your regulator begins to cause leaks though, it may be much worse - fires can start and lack of regulation can lead to horrible toxins leaking out of your car. If you experience any of the above symptoms, have a certified mechanic come by and diagnose your vehicle to figure out if this is the problem or something else is and then fix it.
One of the best car experiences I've ever had. 10/10. Booked and quoted on the phone. George was a really nice guy. Knowledgable and practical. Only did the work that was needed with a head's up of when to expect future service. All for a competitive price while I continued with my normal day in my own home. Why didn't anyone think of this before?! I will definitely use them again and recommend to my friends.
