Fuel injectors transfer gas from the tank to the engine for burning and providing power to the car. By injecting your engine with fuel, a combustion can occur. It is very common that number of injectors is the same as the number of cylinders in the engine, so gas can be appropriately be distributed and burned when requested for.
When gas enters in a liquid form, it can only then be properly combusted if it is converted into a mist. That is what injectors do, so if one doesn’t work, your car’s function will quickly deteriorate. You will face severely higher gas bills and many other issues if your car’s injector isn’t replaced, so have it done as soon as you can get a mechanic to come by.
