Many vehicles do not only emit liquid leaks, but gas leaks when there are issues in their emissions control systems. These potential gas leaks can be far more toxic as if they are inhaled, the chemicals can lead to dizzying and nauseating side effects.
When fuel vapours that are harmful are produced, they are supposed to be collected inside your control canister. At a certain time, the noxious gases are collected and then burnt into a less harmful compound mixture by your combustion chamber, helping remove some of the most deadly chemicals within your engine.
