Most modern cars use electronic ignition instead of points and condensor mechanisms nowadays but your car may still use them. Instead of handling the ignition electronically, a charge is sent to the ignition coil where it was relayed to the condenser. After that, the distributor rotor and cap work to send voltage through sparkplug wires and eventually ignite the fuel. This long process created a lot of wear, and so a points and condenser may often need repairs.
Without a reliable method of igniting your fuel, you cannot drive. No amount of electricity will fix that, so don’t bother jump starting. Instead, call a qualified mechanic for an inspection immediately so you can make sure you get back on the road as fast as possible.
One of the best car experiences I've ever had. 10/10. Booked and quoted on the phone. George was a really nice guy. Knowledgable and practical. Only did the work that was needed with a head's up of when to expect future service. All for a competitive price while I continued with my normal day in my own home. Why didn't anyone think of this before?! I will definitely use them again and recommend to my friends.
