In cars that don’t have a coolant head temperature sensor, cylinder head temperature sensors are in place. They measure the amount of fuel required for your engine to run smoothly and efficiently based on its current temperature. When warming up, it will indicate more fuel is needed, and when already hot, it will not waste excess fuel by reducing the amount of fuel that is requested. Working in conjunction with the engine control module, the cylinder head temperature sensor uses two resistors to monitor the temperatures on both the high and low ends. Based on certain readings, the EC module will modulate the coolant and hopefully monitor the temperature effectively.
Cylinder head temperature sensors are a make or break aspect of your car’s engine. Without proper function, your temperature will be awry. You will be exposed to much worse damage with overheated engine components and even face danger in traffic if you leave it be. If you face any of the above symptoms, we recommend you have a technician diagnose your vehicle as soon as possible.
One of the best car experiences I've ever had. 10/10. Booked and quoted on the phone. George was a really nice guy. Knowledgable and practical. Only did the work that was needed with a head's up of when to expect future service. All for a competitive price while I continued with my normal day in my own home. Why didn't anyone think of this before?! I will definitely use them again and recommend to my friends.
