Volvo's Overseas Delivery Program

Volvo

As if you needed another reason to buy a Volvo, we recently learned that with every purchase of a new Volvo, you qualify for an overnight trip to Sweden, where you can test drive your car and then have it shipped back home! On top of airfare for two and one night of lodging being covered, Volvo will completely pay for the shipping of your car back to North America, as well as give you an extensive tour of their factory, for absolutely free. To see how this amazing package works, let’s look at its features:

  • Two-way airfare for two to Gothenburg Sweden
  • One night of free stay in the Hotel Post, in Gothenburg, Sweden (breakfast and tax included)
  • Shipment services to your local Volvo dealership

How the program works is simple. You first order your new Volvo from your local dealership. Then, you fly to Sweden (free of charge) to test-drive your new car in Sweden, or anywhere in Europe. Finally, when your vacation is finished, you can drop your car off in Gothenburg, or any official Volvo drop-off station in Europe. From, there, Volvo will deal with shipping your car to a Volvo dealership near you, including paying any necessary import taxes.

In addition to the amazing vacation there’s another benefit. By purchasing overseas, you gain access to extra custom features that are not available standard on US models. Custom interiors, colours, styles, and bevels are all available for you to choose from, because your car can be completely customized in-factory. Talk about a plus!

If you’re ordering a new Volvo, we highly suggest taking advantage of this program. There’s one small catch, though: the program is US only. If you’re like us, and live in Canada, you’re currently ineligible for the program. Hopefully, Volvo gives us Canadians some love soon.
